Habi is the Creative Director and Co-founder of Tandem, an award winning branding studio. Habi earned a BFA in painting from The Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. He worked at the Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy, gaining invaluable experience in art history as well as the museum curating industry. Leaning more toward crafting rather than theory, he started his career as graphic designer in Y&R Cairo, then later in Y&R San Francisco. After this long journey in the bustling advertising and corporate world, Habi discovered his passion for small branding studios with more personal experience. Upon returning to Egypt, he worked as Creative Director at icon, one of the emerging branding agencies in Cairo at the time. In 2013 he co-founded Tandem — a boutique branding studio dedicated to deliver only top quality branding services — in association with Rina his partner and wife.
Habi still produces art using various mediums like photography, paintings in oil on canvas, drawings using charcoal and pencil, digital illustrations, and also conceptual art projects
He had one solo show, and participated in many collective exhibitions like, UAMO Art Festival in Munich, Al Jameel Prize Exhibition from V&A Museum in London, Youth Salon Exhibitions in Cairo, Dubai Design Week, Beirut Design Week, The Swedish Embassy Art Exhibition in Cairo.
